As Developer/Analyst I painstakingly went through the process of understanding and documenting PT 8.53 Activity Guide Security/Setup/Admin/User functionality for the functional user.
I then stepped away from the Activity Guide due to the fact we would be upgrading to PT 8.55 and the Activity Guide functionality was changing. Now we are PT 8.55 and I am feeling a bit lost with setup and security. I have had to grant myself Portal Administrator to have access to setup. However I am still having issues with not seeing lists of templates etc. when I go to create an instance. It is also not clear how I can use the delivered Setup Activity Guide to create a new Activity Guide.
Is there detailed easy to follow documentation for Security/Setup/Admin/User functionality for PeopleTools 8.55 Activity Guides?
PeopleTools 8.55 has now been released for general availability. With this release, Oracle continues to demonstrate our commitment to extend the value of our customers’ investment in PeopleSoft. The capabilities included in this release have been designed to enhance many of the features we’ve.
We recently upgraded to PeopleTools 8.55.13 and we did some work to allow breadcrumbs to display to assist users with menu navigations. Our users were not big fans of the navigator navbar and found it took more clicks to do their job duties. From what we gather the use of breadcrumbs is not available in PeopleTools 8.56. We would like to petition to Oracle that future PeopleTools allow for.
Thank you.
PeopleSoft as a Service is a very real opportunity for customers to migrate their on-premises PeopleSoft to run in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and to Simplify the Complexity of running their systems.Moving to OCI enables an unprecedented level of automation in areas such as hardware and network provisioning, security, PeopleTools upgrades and patching and more.
